Research On Vernacular Landscape In “Dream Of Red Mansions”

From the perspective of landscape architecture,this article takes the local landscape of the Ming and Qing Dynasties as an entry point as well as analyzes the classical novel “A Dream of Red Mansions” to study the native landscape elements in the Grand View Garden of “A Dream of Red Mansions”.This article refers to the "Dream of Red Mansions",as well as contemporary prints and paintings,to analyze the elements of the local landscape.Then we started with the three types of garden elements: plant,landform and architecture to analyze the application methods of local landscape elements.Based on site visits,the plants and buildings of Beijing Grand View Garden and Shanghai Grand View Garden were compared and analyzed to explore the manifestation and significance of the local landscape in the Grand View Garden of “A Dream of Red Mansions” and provide opinions and references for the planning and design of modern landscape.The core content of the article is:(1)Based on the typological studies,the local landscape elements in the Grand View Garden were classified and summarized.The classification includes life landscape elements,ecological landscape elements,and production landscape elements.Living landscape elements include: villages,buildings,markets,living appliances,etc.;ecological landscape elements include: climate,water,soil,vegetation and animals;production landscape elements include: farmland,woodland,production tools and other elements.The article mainly analyzes the Daoxiang Village landscape representing the “garden” and the Xiaoxiang Pavilion representing “mountain forest” in the original text.The other courtyards are concisely summarized.Through the description of novel writing,a statistical table of the local landscape elements of each courtyard node in the Grand View Garden is finally obtained.(2)Analyze the local landscape design techniques of Daguanyuan from the aspects of plants,landforms and landscape architecture in the garden components.For the plants in the Grand View Garden,statistics on planted plants were first made,and they were divided into trees,shrubs and vines,ground cover plants and aquatic plants,and grasses.The statistical tables for common plants in the Grand View Garden were listed and analyzed.The composition of four seasons landscape tree species,lists the statistical tables of the landscape plants of the Grand View Garden in four seasons;organizes and categorizes the arrangement of garden plants in the Grand View Garden,analyzes the relationship between the plant configuration methods and the character,shapes the characters and characters,and lists the statistical tables of the Daguanyuan Courtyard Plants.This is supplemented by the tabulation of plants in the garden to illustrate the uniqueness of plant selection in this cultural garden of the Grand View Garden.For the topography of the Grand View Garden,it was elaborated from the Laoshan Stone Stacked Stone and the Lishui River.Cao Xueqin's preference for stone and the aesthetic appreciation of ancient Chinese gardens since ancient times also laid the foundation for the Grand Stone Garden's stacked stone technique.The water system in the Grand View Garden is even more impressive.It is rich in form and attractive.In terms of landscape architecture,it explores three aspects of courtyard space,question-for-value,space concatenation and separation,and lists the statistical tables of plaques and reunifications of Daguanyuan courtyards.(3)Field survey and investigation of Beijing Grand View Garden and Shanghai Grand View Garden.The survey of Beijing Grand View Garden and Shanghai Grand View Garden was used to test one of the approaches to the discussion of local landscape design techniques.Due to the geographical differences between the two Grand View Gardens,the landscaping also has its own characteristics,and this difference reflects the native land.The uniqueness of the landscape,based on the same book to restore the Grand View Garden,resulted in two very different gardens.This chapter mainly discusses the local landscape manifestation of Beijing and Shanghai Daguanyuan from two aspects of plant and architecture,and conducts comparative analysis.(4)Analysis of the embodiment and significance of the rural landscape in A Dream of Red Mansions.This section analyzes the significance of the rural landscape of "A Dream of Red Mansions" from aesthetic,ecological and spiritual aspects.Aestheticism-the design of the local landscape from nature,this section mainly embodies the aesthetics of its "Fallenism";ecological nature-the design of the local landscape from nature,this section is mainly from the ancient Chinese ecological natural view of nature The country's landscapes,rich biota and independent ecological systems are expressed;spirituality—local landscape design from the heart is mainly elaborated from the perspectives of the Taohuayuan and Jia Baoyu in the minds of the literati and the sheltered girls of the young girls.
