Refining The Art Of The Native Landscape Elements

With the rapid development of urbanization and the New Socialist Countryside Construction going into a now period all over the country, rural eco-environment are being paid more attention by more and more people nowadays. With the improvement of the living standard, vernacular landscape has also become an important part of the New Socialist Countryside Construction.Grass, as a vernacular landscape element, has strong vernacular flavor and artistry. However, there have been many problems on the treatment of grass in the real local environment, such as the resource waste, atmospheric pollution of the environment caused by burning of straw; the lack of use in the vernacular landscape design, the superficial exploration of the connotation for grass.Examining the rural settlement region and taking the artistic refinement of the grass in vernacular landscape design as a breakthrough point, this paper tries to solve some real problems: to save the deteriorating rural environment as well as the grass-a vanishing landscape, a lost art and a declining culture.Based on the analysis of theories, pratices and development of vernacular landscape design both from home and abroad, and combined with the actual practice of research and relative projects, , this paper/thesis has summarized the the methods and strategies of grass-using in the vernacular landscape from two perspectives: planning and designing, in order to make a deep exploration of its territoriality, artistry, culture and spirituality, furthermore, to protect and make use of the grass resources, integrate and strengthen the landscape, and refine and inherit the content. To a further extent, the article draws on a serious thinking on these topics: protection of the vernacular heritage, artification of the vernacular landscape and the fate of productive landscape.Thesis context:1.Collect related data, summarize the main problems of vernacular landscape and vernacular grass landscape, define the"Grass", propose the meaning of this research , means for the research and the construct framework supported by basic theories.2. To explain relative concepts , determine the meaning of the studied object, as well as recall the domestic and foreign research results.3. Analyze and summarize the existing problems of the studied object by investigations and studies.4.Set out the significance and advantages of the study through Qualitative analysis and Positioning the vernacular grass, and discuss the feasibility of its use.5.To propose a kind of method and strategy on artistically using the grass in the vernacular landscape from two perspectives"Planning"and"Designning".6.Proving the key point in Chapter 5 and take a feedback through pratice.7.Summarize the thesis and set out questions, prospects and prediction.
