In recent years,the automobile industry has developed rapidly in China,people have more choices about purchasing cars.In order to attract more consumers,auto manufacturers have made every effort to do development and innovation.Vehicle innovation needs to be based on automotive parts.Without the development of finished vehicle industry,the R&D and innovation capability of the strong parts system is difficult to make breakthrough.Without the support from a strong component system,the development of finished vehicle industry will be difficult to sustain and strength.The OEM who can launch more new products in the shortest time and give customers the new ultimate ride experience can go to the forefront in the car competition.OEMs must constantly compress project timing,introduce new ideas,and attract customers' attention,which also puts higher requirements on auto parts suppliers.How to break the existing new product development model and adapt to the requirements of auto manufacturers more quickly becomes the goal of each company.With the increasing competition in the auto parts industry,domestic excellent auto parts manufacturers are paying more and more attention to the investigation of the industry market,especially the in-depth study of the development environment of the enterprise and the trend of customer demand.As a joint venture,established by two world top 500 companies in China and the United States,Company Y has a certain influence in the automotive interior parts industry,and its goal is to continue to exceed customer expectations.The production preparation of launching a new vehicle is continuously being shorten.In order to cope with this situation,company Y is actively researching countermeasures regarding how to carry out more effective timing management for new development projects and how to continuously exceed customer requirements.These are issues that company Y needs to solve urgently..Through the basic overview of project management,project timeline and project schedule theory,this paper takes company Y's current development project as the research object and use Programme Evaluation and Review Technique,schedule grid technology,critical path method,schedule adjustment and correction,Gantt chart and other progress management methods to find that there is room for improvement in tooling mold manufacturing and debugging time.And the original mold manufacturing feasibility analysis can start earlier and the company's internal approval process can be optimized;after analyzing current experimental verification process,it is found that experiment verification can reduce the risk and save time.After the original tooling is completed,the verification will be started.But already after the data is completed,the 3D printing part verification will be made,and the foreign expert data verification review process will be added.By analyzing the customer's approved content,it is found that in the customer parts approval phase,the customer's internal quality assurance,product and other departments have several issues,like unclear job responsibilities,long experimental period,and inflexible process.Through communication and negotiation with customers,the new parts approval plan is sorted out;through analyzing the company's internal pre-production training,it is found that there are issues in training start-up time,training methods and other aspects.By using brainstorming,fish bones and other analytical methods,improvement methods are proposed.The research findings of this paper is intended to guide company Y to explore and go for the innovation path,introduce the project management theory into all aspects of company management,improve the company's business process,shorten the project launch cycle,improve the experimental risk control ability,and improve customer satisfaction.In the end,the company's comprehensive competitiveness will be enhanced and be in an invincible position in the intense market competition.
