In recent years,China automotive market is entering the stage of micro growth.From the perspective of market demand,it has turned into rational consumption.With more and more new competitors access to auto market,the whole market will be serious oversupplied.But with the car park increasing year by year,leading to more and more demand of auto maintenance and repair,the focus of auto industry will switch from sales market to aftersales market.As the important part of aftersales market,the service will replace auto sales to be the main profit source of automobile manufacture enterprise and 4S shop.However,in recent years,the independent aftersales market is booming,which give customers more choices.On the other hand,customers have higher requirements for service time limit and quality of 4S shop.Once the service of 4S shop let customers down,it will lead to serious loss of customer,brand image and loyalty.Meanwhile,the government comes out many related laws and rules to maintain customers’ interests.So,the spare parts delivery even the whole aftersales will be more and more important for automobile manufacture enterprise.As a complex product,the automobile is assembled by thousands of parts,and the cars in market are also in different stages and conditions.All these reasons make the diversity of spare parts and uncertainty demand,which are huge challenges for the spare parts delivery.But building a big inventory,only for better delivery service to customers,will lead many obsolete stocks and operating cost increase.So,spare parts management need continuous improvement for better delivery service and less cost based on a good service level.Based on these two targets and the analysis of related literatures on supply chain management,auto spare parts management and inventory management methods,this article describes the current situation of FAW-VW VW brand spare parts management,analyzing the core business module like catalog,planning,purchasing,logistics and sales,looking for optimization points and making solutions from the side of material flow such as forecast,purchase plan,deployment,which are deeply associated with delivery and cost.To ensure the successful implementation of solutions,make safeguard measures from human resource,budget and work flow,and finally to improve spare parts delivery service level,decrease operating cost,guarantee the competitiveness of FAW-VW VW brand original spare parts,then make more profits.
