In the coming era of 5G,the communication tower is in urgent need of technological change to meet the building needs of the Internet.The current technological change of communication tower will be carried out closely around the "transformation".Transformation is the requirement of technological evolution.At present,the mobile communication network architecture has changed from the macro station to the three-dimensional hierarchical networking of "macro and micro combination,indoor and outdoor coordination".The demand of traditional macro station has slowed down dramatically,and the strategic significance of micro station and room division has become more prominent.The fundamental of the transformation is to reform the development mode and improve the market competitiveness.It is necessary to change the traditional construction mode of "self-construction first",adhere to the innovation-driven,rely on social resources extensively,control macro station,find alternative,and lower the tower height.State-owned assets supervision and administration commission instructed that "transformation" should also focus on quality reform,take industry sharing as the leading role,and develop social sharing,so as to develop the sharing of "communication tower" and "social tower",and promote the communication industry and communication tower technology to advance towards the direction of all-round development and coordinated progress.In the transformation process,the upgrading and reconstruction of the backup power supply of the communication tower is urgent.In the transformation from social tower to communication tower,frequent power outages are one of the problems.Due to frequent power outages,the capacity of conventional back-up lead-acid battery is seriously attenuated and the cycle life is short.Thereby the battery investment is too high to bear.The problem of environmental pollution caused by frequent replacement of battery is increasing.On this basis,echelon battery technology emerges as the times require,which is widely used in dealing with frequent power outages,iron tower construction transformation,energy conservation and environmental protection.Taking the actual base station application of Yunnan province,Tianjin city and Jilin province as construction cases,this paper comprehensively discusses the realization ofenergy saving and space reduction by adopting cascade battery technology from scheme design to field construction,and finally summarizes and analyzes the construction process.At the same time,the technical defects of the technology in north China are analyzed,and the prospect of cascade battery technology in communication tower transformation is also prospected.
