The Predominant Expression Of Nanyang’s Regional Context In The Landscape Design Of Guangwu Road

Under the influence of globalization,the Western cultural export has a great impact on China’s urban construction.The problem of "one side of a thousand cities" has become increasingly prominent,and the regional culture has gradually declined and disappeared.As a platform to show the characteristics and culture of the city,urban streets play an important role in highlighting the characteristics of regional culture.Based on the concept of regional context,this paper extracts and sorts out the representative elements of regional context in Nanyang,that is,the regional context represented by Han culture,jade culture and Chinese rose culture has been formed in the historical development of Nanyang.Taking the upgrading and renovating landscape of Guangwu Road in Nanyang City as an example,this paper analyzed the landscape problems of Guangwu Road in Nanyang City from the aspects of space,vegetation,structure and infrastructure:(1)Regional characteristics are not outstanding: street landscape can not reveal the regional culture and urban characteristics of Nanyang;(2)The overall space lacks a unified style: the street building’s style,appearance,color and architectural contours are disorderly;(3)The street space lacks the cadence,opening and closing sense of rhythm.There is a single type of landscape space at intersection and node;(4)The infrastructure is insufficient: the old street facilities,the broken and disorganized shops,The insufficient street public facilities and service facilities;(5)Plant allocation lacks ecology,artistry and humanism: the single type of plant allocation;the fault landscape in intersection of old and new urban areas;lack of spatial sense;Through horizontal comparison of street landscape of Shanghai century avenue,Paris champs elysees avenue,and Oakland Powell street in San Francisco,the method of organizing street landscape to reflect regional context is as follows: extract regional cultural elements,retain regional symbols;pay attention to the combination of city’s ecological,morphological,cultural and people’s life;integrate street landscape to establish organic space.On this basis,the method of landscape transformation in Nanyang city is put forward:(1)Implant regional context to highlight regional characteristics: divide Guangwu Road area,to build the Chinese rose culture as the main body,Han culture,jade culture,Fuya culture as a supplement to the street landscape;(2)Unify the street landscape space style: Refine the representative symbols of Chinese rose,Han painting,Dushan jade,Nanyang Fuya,etc.,and apply them to the architectural style,street pavement,Landscape element,service facilities;(3)The street space is regulated and planned,and feasible red line,green line,purple line and space control are put forward;(4)Create distinctive nodes and intersections,and create a city street space with place spirit,traffic,communication and contact;(5)Use native tree species to build the Aesculus tree.Using native tree species,the street landscape with Aesculus,Magnolia grandiflora and Platanus acerifolia as the backbone tree species is constructed,and the flower shrubs with Chinese rose as the main component are arranged to enrich the level of the street landscape of Guangwu Road and make the street landscape more ecological.Through this design,the regional cultural characteristics of Nanyang City are embodied in the street landscape of Guangwu Road,so that it has a good ecology,humanism and artistry,and has a certain guiding significance to enhance the urban landscape of Nanyang City.
