The power industry is in the core position of China’s national social and economic industries,and its safe,reliable and stable operation provides reliable guarantee for the sustainable development of the national economy in the whole society.Based on 220kV voltage level,Hydropower,thermal power and nuclear power exist in Guangxi power grid and the grid operation is fluctuating and complicated.As an important part of the power grid,the power grid relay protection information system can effectively and timely grasp the fault information,judge,deal with and restore the system,provide reliable decision-making basis for dispatching,and provide reliable guarantee for the safe and stable operation of the power grid when there is a fault in the power grid.Therefore,on the basis of the existing relay protection information system of domestic power grid,combining with the characteristics and needs of Guangxi power grid,the relay protection information system of Guangxi power grid is developed and improved,which will improve the management level of Guangxi power grid,save the manpower and material resources,provide a strong and reliable guarantee for the economic and social development of Guangxi and also bring significant economic and good social benefits.According to the current development of foreign countries and the general requirements of China Southern Power Grid,the relay protection information system of Guangxi power grid is composed of three parts:related relay protection devices including fault recorder,the sub-station system which completes protocol conversion,information collection,processing,control and storage,and sends information to the trusted master station system,and the master station system installed in the dispatching organization or the regional control(centralized control)center,which is responsible for communication with the sub-station system,and completes information processing,analysis,publication and other functions.The relay protection information system adopts hierarchical and distributed communication architecture.At the same time,in order to unify the information transmission process between the sub-station system and the master station system,and shield the difference of different protocol stacks,the relay protection information system adopts the newest international standard IEC61850,which realizes the access of substation protection devices,information conversion and information mapping.Finally IEC61850 becomes the main technology system of information exchange.The core function module of the relay protection information system of Guangxi power grid is the intelligent fault analysis module for power system based on fault recorder.The module makes a comprehensive and detailed analysis of different fault models during the operation of the power system.Combining with the voltage,current and switching model,the analysis method and process of common typical faults are analyzed.Finally,a fault intelligent analysis system is formed,which integrates the theory,method and software of model analysis.In addition,the system also has the functions of running data management,such as protection equipment access evaluation,sub-station communication status statistics,substation link status statistics,fault data management,information query and statistics,WEB publication,etc.The relay protection information system of Guangxi power grid is a new automatic system which is oriented to dispatching center and integrates relay protection operation monitoring and management,power grid fault monitoring,power grid fault analysis and management,etc.The construction of relay protection information system is an inevitable choice for the development of technology and application,and it is a necessary condition for intelligent scheduling.Practical examples also show that during typhoon,the relay protection information system of Guangxi power grid plays an important role in fault analysis,investigation and information transmission,provides a strong support for dispatching relay personnel to carry out rapid and accurate analysis and treatment of accidents,and acts a significant part in daily operation and management of relay protection and fault analysis of power grid.
