In recent years,drones have seen rapid development in both military and civilian areas.Drones are usually divided into two categories,rotary wings and fixed wings.Rotary wing drones have the advantages of vertical takeoff and landing and air hovering,and have the disadvantages of faster energy consumption,slower flight speed,and shorter life time.The fixed-wing drone has the advantages of being able to cruise quickly,having a relatively low energy consumption,and having a high flying efficiency,and has the disadvantages of being unable to vertically take off and landing,being limited to take-off and landing sites,and being unable to hover in the air.In order to overcome the shortcomings of the combined advantages of fixed-wing and rotary-wing drones,this paper proposes a drone with four-rotor and fixed-wing hybrid layout.In the take-off and landing phases,vertical lift is performed in the quadrotor mode,and air suspension can be achieved at the same time.When entering the fixed-wing cruise phase,the remote control retracts the rotor arm to avoid the effect of the rotor on the overall aerodynamic layout of the drone,reduce wind resistance,and increase the stability of the drone.This paper mainly completed the following work:(1)The design of the drone-to-fixed-wing hybrid drones overall scheme was carried out.The function and structure of the new mixed-layout drone were described,and the functional and structural drawings of the new drone were designed and implemented simulation.(2)Four-rotor and fixed-wing hybrid deployment UAV hardware design.Firstly,the hardware of the new variable-type fixed-wing and non-rotor hybrid layout UAVs is configured,and then the hardware design of each module is introduced.The selection of the main components of each module,the key technologies of each module,and the communication method are respectively introduced.The main circuit schematics of each module are introduced.(3)Four-rotor and fixed-wing hybrid deployment unmanned aerial vehicle software design was carried out,and the design of each sensor module program and the design of system working mode were completed.(4)The designed hybrid layout UAV was implemented and flight control experiments were carried out,including prototype testing and field flight experiments.The results show that the designed drone has achieved the desired results.
