GSM-R is a digital mobile communication system,which is widely used at home and abroad.It provides comprehensive communication services for railway operation.Such as wireless communication of trains dispatching,mobile communication of road junctions between sections and stations,and emergency communication voice service.The system also has other functions,like data transmitting,dispatching command sending,and CTCS-3 train control system data transmitting.It plays an important role in railway safety production.Up to June 30,2016,China's GSM-R line covers a total length of 41,656 km.Due to its high reliability of communication,it has been widely used in China's high-speed railway construction and has become the only standard for the transformation of high-speed railway wireless dispatching communication.With the rapid development of railway construction in China,GSM-R has been reformed in the ordinary-speed railway.However,compared with the high-speed railway,the ordinary-speed railway is not as independent as the high-speed rail,and the its communication service is relatively mature.The ordinary-speed railway has complex and diversified features in line types and communication service applications,especially in the large-scale complicated railway hubs.High-speed and ordinary-speed railway lines are crossed,and paralleled after the intersection.New lines and reforming lines have different construction periods.It was hard to program GSM-R network in hub area of those matters.Otherwise,the existing functions of the GSM-R network cannot meet the requirements of the joint control calls(that is,Train and station joint control,Train and railway crossing joint control)among the duty officers in large hub station,the railway crossing keepers,and the locomotive drivers.As a result,even if the GSM-R network has been built in the railway hub area,it still cannot be used.It can only keep maintaining the 450 MHz wireless train communication mode,which seriouslyrestricts the development of railway equipment.Starting from GSM-R basic theoretical model and engineering construction index,this paper mainly studies and analyzes the planning schemes of the intersections and paralleled lines in railway hub areas and the base station of triangular areas.Based on the analysis of railway traffic organization and demand,this paper also deeply studies the technical solutions for the joint control of the vehicles and the combined control of the roads.Finally,taking the GSM-R reconstruction project of the XX railway hub as an example,through the engineering construction example,not only to verify the feasibility of the network planning scheme and the train and station joint control technology scheme,but also ensure the opening of the GSM-R network in the hub area smoothly.Furthermore,it paves the way for the next step of reconstructing the train and railway crossing joint control and provides guidance for the construction of the GSM-R renovation project in the railway hub area.
