Since the beginning of 21 st century,although the development of fishing vessel for deep sea in our country had made great progress,it is still affected by factors such as marginalization of the research on the fishery equipment and the development of the industry and the poor economic base of fishermen,which made the development of fishing vessels and fishing equipment out of the step with the rapid development of ship industry and electronic computing technology,and resulting in the weakness of independent research ability and innovation ability of fishing vessels.Most rules for the construction of fishing vessels especially the calculation of hull structural components were refer to the port vessels,and do not combine with actual loading conditions of fishing vessel.Therefore,it is necessary to calculate the structural strength of the fishing vessels directly and evaluate the actual stress and deformation of the hull under real conditions.The main contents of this paper include the following aspects:(1)the theoretical method and derivation process to calculate the wave loads with potential flow theory were described,and wave spectrum in ocean engineering were introduced,the principle of short-term and long-term prediction of the wave loads were analyzed,and the scatter diagram in ship hull design in China are also briefly introduced.(2)The general situation and general layout of 53 m saury fishing vessel were briefly introduced,and the fishing method of saury was elaborated in detail.At the same time,the overall layout of the structure was briefly introduced,and the design of a certain part of the structure was simply explained.(3)the saury fishing vessel was taken as a research object and the DNV SESAM were used in paper,the long term forecast of wave on the ship under typical working conditions were done,and the influence of different loading conditions and wave angle on prediction were researched.At the same time,the state of heeling caused by hauling was simulated by assuming the heeling angle,the prediction of wave load was carried out,and simple analysis about the influence of variation of heeling angle on wave loads was also done.(4)the 3D finite element model of saury fishing vessel was established.The most dangerous sea condition that the vessel would suffer were obtained based on the design wave method,and the quasi-static response of the ship was analyzed with SESTRA,and the structural strength of the whole hull was analysed.Accordance with a saury fishing vessel,analysis the process of the whole ship modle establishing,wave load forecasting especially on the working conditions,together with structural strength calculating,which could provide some scientific guidance for the design and actual operation of similar ocean-going fishing vessels,and has certain reference significance for perfecting relevant code for construction of fishing vessels.
