Great achievements have been made in China’s market economy reform.However,in some infrastructure construction industries with strong macro-control,such as highway and municipal engineering construction,the degree of resource concentration is still high.The market presents a polarized situation,with central enterprises and state-owned enterprises occupying absolute advantages,private enterprises have difficulty in obtaining business opportunities,and their living environment is seriously squeezed.These companies must change management ideas,according to the market present situation disadvantageous factor,formulates the new strategic plan,seeks the survival way,develops the new market space.Although there are disadvantages and threats in the market environment of the industry,enterprises can see a bright prospect of the present good times.Our country is on its way to build a well-off society in all aspects.The 19th CPC Congress announced a strategic plan of building China into a country with strong transportation network.At the same time,urbanization construction and One Belt and One Road are both sped up.The external environment factors give transportation and municipal engineering project a bright future.The market is getting bigger and bigger and the market segmentation is being upgraded to a higher level responding to the growing demand for construction and a variety of service requirements.Guangxi YD Construction Engineering Co.,LTD.is a private engineering construction enterprise in its infancy.At present,it is facing great competition pressure and great market opportunities at the same time.Therefore,it is urgently needed to choose appropriate strategies,transform pressure,and seize opportunities.By adopting the PEST macro environment analysis method and Five Forces industry analysis method,this paper synthesizes the internal advantages and disadvantages of YD company.The SWOT matrix as the analysis tool to select the horizontal integration strategy,expand production capacity,reduce costs and grow rapidly through cooperation with enterprises in the same industry.YD company can try to reverse the way of thinking and make its state-owned competitors into partners.As a professional engineering service provider,YD can subcontract parts of state-owned enterprises’ projects and establish a stronger value chain and share value chain by cooperating with state-owned enterprises.
