With the continuous progress of science and technology and the increasingly higher demand for vision senses,display technology will develop towards high-definitional,full-colorful and three-dimensional.So called 'three-dimension display' means that it sufficiently use human eye's visual stereoscopic imaging effect and realize the vision result being similar with the real world.According to display theory,three-dimension display technology can be divided into two categories,namely stereoscopic display and true three-dimensional display.To this day,although the stereoscopic display has been applicable and widely applied to business of film and entertainment,this technology can only produce psychological depth of field,in which convergence and focus adjustment are contradictive and,visual fatigue is easily to occur.True three-dimensional display can be also divided into two categories,namely holographic display and volumetric display.Holographic display can produce most true real three-dimensional display theoretically,but this technology is now just in the fundamental research stage and its display effect is unacceptable.By contrast,volumetric display is more potential.After research of problems and technology difficulties in volumetric display at home and abroad and,comprehensively analysis of advantage and disadvantage of many different model machine,the author proposed a new model,namely a bitmap pattern volumetric display system based on single-screen translational motion.The display system is constituted with five components,namely PC,high-speed image control subsystem,servo control subsystem,mechanical driving subsystem and optical imaging subsystem.The main work of this paper is the design and manufacture of the last two subsystems,performing system experiment of display.The designed light path from the projector,motional reflective mirror and motionless reflective mirror to screen,ensures the light path is constant,thus avoiding the dynamic focusing problem.The motion of reflective mirror and screen is respectively realized by parallelogram linkages.Inertia force is balanced by counterweight mechanism designed accoding to balance principle.The mechanical strucure design of the system prototype is completed.including the construction of three-dimensional models of parts and assemblies,the 2D drawings of parts.Finite element simulation based on ANSYS Workbench is carried out for the key parts which may affect the display effect of the system.The prototype is assembled and debugged,and the overall behavior of the prototype is tested,recorded and analyzed.After research of the problems occurring in the experiment,suggestions for improvement are put forward.
