Traffic congestion has become a common problem in urban transportation of China.The key areas of city are based on the nature of public services such as schools,medical services,and commerce,have a regular pattern of traffic attraction and have a large traffic flow.They have the characteristics of a large amount of traffic attraction,high frequency of daily travel,and imbalances in traffic supply and demand,which can easily lead to traffic congestion problems.Primary and secondary schools,comprehensive hospitals,and commercial complexes are the most representative urban key areas.Regular traffic congestion in key areas has seriously affected the safety of urban roads and the quality of daily travel and living of residents.It has received extensive attention from the society,and it is urgent to solve the traffic problems in the key areas of the city.As an important method of traffic congestion management,traffic organization and management can effectively prevent potential problems and resolve existing contradictions by guiding demand and strengthening management,and has the characteristics of low cost,easy implementation and good results,etc.This article focuses on the regularity of traffic congestion and congestion management in urban key areas of primary and secondary schools,general hospitals,and commercial complexes.Reach on the traffic organization management methods in urban key areas from the congestion node.First,based on case analysis and practical investigation,the traffic problems in each key area of the city and the current traffic organization and management methods are summarized.Secondly,it quantitatively analyzes the spatial and temporal distribution characteristics of dynamic traffic flow in urban key areas and the characteristics of static parking demand,and clarifies the root causes of traffic problems in each region;then it proposes traffic organizations in three areas: total traffic demand control,parking organization management,and dynamic traffic organization and management.In the management method,total traffic demand management includes the reduction of demand and transfer demand.Parking organization mainly includes parking allocation,the layout of parking facilities,and the management of parking.Dynamic traffic organization and management includes internal traffic organizations,external traffic organizations,and organizations of entrance and exit traffic.Then,in light of the differentiated traffic characteristics of different key areas,the key points,principles,and specific methods of transportation organization and management of schools,hospitals,and commercial entities are proposed from the above three levels.Finally,taking the case of Jinhe School in Changshu City,the northern courtyard of the First People's Hospital and the Southern New Town Commercial Plaza as examples,the research on the application of traffic organization and management methods in key areas was carried out.
