With the rapid development of the Internet,the information that users get from various channels is increasing day by day.Information overload has become the main reason that hinders users from searching target information.The information architecture can effectively alleviate this problem.In recent years,the information architecture has gradually attracted the attention of the academic community.There are many factors affecting the search efficiency and search behavior.The purpose of this thesis is to study what and how the factors influence the information search process by using the eye movement technology.By sorting out related literature,this paper divides the factors affecting structuring the information architecture into "information features" and "information layout" in.And studies how information architecture influences the search efficiency and search behavior from three aspects of page information capacity,number of information partition and information classification.The information capacity refers to the number of information units in the page.The number of information zoning refers to the number of areas in which the information is partitioned in the page.The number of information classification refers to the classification of the information in the page according to the principle of semantic correlation.In the first experiment,the factors are "information capacity" and "whether the search target is included in the page".The results show that there is a linear relationship between the search time and the information capacity,no matter whether there is a search target or not.The average search time is longer in the case of no search target.In addition,through the study of the hot area map and the line of sight track,it is found that there are 4 search modes,including "Z","spiral","snake" and "random",and the search mode of the subject will affect the information search time.The factor of the experiment two is the number of information partition,and the result shows that with the increasing of the number of information partition,the search time will reduce.In the case of information partition,the search mode of the subjects is divided into "partition search" and "cross area search",and the search time will be reduced when the subjects search the target information according to the partition search mode.The factor of experiment three is the number of information classification.The result shows that the use of information classification will reduce the search time greatly.And with the increase of number of information classification,the search time appears to first go up and then decline.From the above three experiments,it is found that the search time of the subjects changes because of the change of information architecture.Based on this phenomenon,this paper divides the factors that affect the search time into "information architecture structure" and "information search behavior".Based on the theory of information entropy,a calculation method of "order degree of information architecture" and "information search entropy" is proposed to explain the influence of "information architecture structure" and "information search behavior" on search time from a quantitative point of view.Firstly,the order degree of the information architecture is got by calculating the time entropy and the quality entropy.The results show that the order degree and the experimental data of the experiment two have the same rising trend.Secondly,the information search entropy in the process of information search is deduced and compared with the result of experiment three.It is found that there is the same trend between the calculated results and the data of experiment three.On this basis,we use the same idea to obtain the calculation formula to calculate the entropy when users search information in the real information classification website.Finally,an experiment is designed to simulate the real information classification website,and it is found that the experimental data and the calculation results also have the same rising trend.It is proved that the feasibility of using the information entropy theory to evaluate the information architecture.
