In the last few years,pharmaceuticals and personal care products(PPCPs)have been detected frequently in drinking water.In the disinfection process of drinking water,PPCPs may produce halogenated PPCPs and other by-products which are more toxic than PPCPs.Some disinfection by-products have "three effects",which are easy to accumulate in organisms and endanger organisms,including human beings.Therefore,it is necessary to study the influence of residual chlorine on the degradation of PPCPs,and the products of PPCPs and residual chlorine.Typical PPCPs were chosen as the research object,and 9 kinds of PPCPs were selected to study the influence of residual chlorine on PPCPs.5 kinds of PPCPs were selected to study the products of PPCPs and residual chlorine under different residual chlorine concentration.In this research,the methods of SPE-UPLC-MS\MS was adopted to preprocess and detect water samples.The concentration change of PPCPs under the condition of removing chlorine or adding chlorine were compared,and the influence of chlorine on the degradation of PPCPs were analyzed.The reaction products of 5 kinds of PPCPs and different concentrations of residual chlorine were detected and the formation mechanism of halogenated PPCPs were analysed.From the results we can see that the concentration of verapamil,diltiazem,sulpride and clenbuterol in drinking water with no residual chlorine were significantly higher than that in drinking water with residual chlorine added.The results indicated that residual chlorine is easy to reacte with these four substances.While the phenomenon of benzene and ketoprofen was opposite,which indicated that residual chlorine can inhibit the degradation of these two substances.The degradation of nadolol,fluoxetine and disopyramide showed that the removal rate of PPCPs was higher in water samples with no residual chlorine than that of residual chlorine was added.The later period showed the opposite phenomenon,and the results indicated the residual chlorine in the initial period inhibited the degradation of PPCPs,and after a period of time,chlorine began to react with PPCPs,which resulted in the increase of removal rate.In the experiment of the reaction of 5 kinds of PPCPs with residual chlorine of different concentrations respectively,different mass particles were found,and 13 kinds of products were speculated out.The reaction mechanism is mainly oxidation reaction and chlorination reaction.
