Cultural heritage protection is not only an international cultural headline,but also the requirement for the sustainable development of the society.The combination of the salvageable preservation and the preventive conservation has become the trend in recent years.As an important means of the preventive protection,heritage monitoring is based on measuring the determination of heritage preservation indicators.It is used to determine the heritage of outstanding universal value and maintain the authenticity and integrity of the conditions and its changes.As an important part of cultural heritage,the ancient architectural Heritage in China is rich in type and has a long history.Meanwhile,heritage faces many risks brought by natural disasters and human activities.With the improvement of the monitoring mechanism and the continuous improvement of the protection requirements,there are rapid steps of China's heritage monitoring work.At the same time,because of the initial misunderstandings and constraints,it is difficult to play a real role in many places.Even some excessive monitoring appears.This paper aims at analyzing common diseases and causes of typical ancient architectural heritage,and explores the indicator system and adaptive technology of monitoring on attributes.Based on the interviews and surveys in some heritage sites,this paper conducts research from the perspective of multi-disciplines.Firstly,the research and practice of the domestic and foreign heritage monitoring theory are analyzed,especially the monitoring procedure and cases of preventive protection.Then for wood structures,masonry structures,and grottoes,the paper lists common diseases and corresponding causes.Around the adaptability of monitoring technology,it summarizes the typical application examples.combined with literature and engineering data.Finally,through the deformation monitoring of Deheyuan Theater Building,monitoring of the meridian gate,monitoring of changes in Cliff inscriptions,the paper analyses architectural heritage monitoring indicator system,and the choice of monitoring technology.
