Smart substation as a basis for the construction of smart grid is the inevitable choice for the future development of substations.It is of great significance to improve the automation level of substation and the reliability of equipment operation,and to solve the energy and environmental problems faced by human society.Real-time digital simulation of power system provides an important technical means for the construction,maintenance,operation and research of smart substation.In addition,it is of great practical significance to study how to improve the substation simulation scale and to complete the data communication of smart substation real-time simulation.In order to expand the simulation scale of smart substation,a simulation model of the inlet-outlet line unit described by the 0/10~8S conductance for multivalued coefficients pre-storage is presented and it is equivalently simplified.On that basis,the addressing circuit for multivalued coefficients as a part of orders decomposition is designed,and it can reduce the computational burden of processing elements.Secondly,the Ethernet communication module of SV packet formation and GOOSE packet resolution is designed so that FRTDS can communicate with secondary devices such as digital relay protection devices.Furthermore,the addressing circuit for multivalued coefficients is associated with the guide word,the formation module of SV packet and the resolution module of GOOSE packet are associated with the APPID in the Ethernet frame.The addressing circuit for multivalued coefficients,the formation module of SV packet and the resolution module of GOOSE packet are reconstructed via the orders,which improves the versatility and flexibility of the real-time solver.Finally,the hardware structure and software compilation platform of the real-time digital solver FRTDS based on the field programmable gate array is introduced.And a hardware-in-the-loop real-time simulation platform for smart substation is built based on the FRTDS.A typical case of 220kV substation is given to demonstrate the simulation calculating capability and the hardware-in-the-loop ability of the FRTDS.
