| EPS sandwich panels are lightweight composite panels that are often used in petrochemi-cal-built office buildings,control rooms,commercial buildings and residential centers,but these buildings can be hit by accidental far-field explosions.Because people do not know enough about its mechanical properties and failure mechanism,this paper mainly analyzes the failure modes of EPS sandwich panels under explosive load,and discusses their me-chanical properties and failure mechanism.Ability to conduct quantitative research.The main work and research results of this paper include the following aspects:(1)The LS-DYNA software is used to establish the finite element simulation model of EPS sandwich panel.The EPS sandwich panel impact load test in other literatures is selected to simulate the experimental process to verify the correctness of the finite element model.The results show that the finite element model can simulate the failure mode and the displace-ment and strain of EPS sandwich panel under impact load.For the selection of gas explo-sion load model,a simplified gas explosion load over-time-duration curve is applied to the surface of the finite element model to analyze the structural dynamic response.(2)The EPS sandwich panels with different design parameters were numerically simulated and the parameters were studied through a large number of numerical simulation data.The results show that the thickness of the metal skin,the yield strength of the metal skin,the density of the EPS sandwich,the thickness of the EPS sandwich And other factors will have a certain impact on the simulation results,but the change of the thickness of the metal surface has the most significant impact on the anti-gas explosion capability of the EPS sandwich panel.(3)Comparing the calculated value of TNT equivalent method load and the measured value of gas explosion load proposed in UFC 3-340-02,it is found that the calculated value of TNT equivalent method load in calculating dynamic response of EPS sandwich panel structure Big error.The results show that the structural response calculated by the TNT equivalent method is quite different from the actual situation when gas explosions occur at low con-centrations of combustible gases such as 7.5% and 8.5% methane-air mixed gases.At high concentrations,such as 9.5% and When the methane gas mixture with 10.5% volume con-centration explodes in gas explosion,the result of structure response obtained is quite close.In the design of EPS sandwich panel room in the petrochemical industry,when the proba-bility of high-concentration gas explosion is high,the calculated load value of TNT equiv-alent method can meet the design requirements.Based on this,it can provide references for antiknock design of sandwich panels in petrochemical industry. |
