In laboratory conditions,load simulator is a hardware-in-loop simulation device which is used to simulate aerodynamic load experiments for the rudder of aircraft.In the passive loading mode,the surplus torque caused by active motion of the steering engine will severely degrade accuracy of the load simulator system.Compensating and suppressing the surplus torque is an important technical problem.In this paper,we propose a new structure of dual-motor electric load simulator to solve this problem.Firstly,we establish the overall model of loading system based on constitute and working principle of the proposed structure.and we analyze the main factors that affect the system performance,including the generation mechanism of surplus torque,the nonlinear factors and uncertain factors in the loading system.Secondly,we propose the loading scheme of dual-channel electric load simulator based on traditional control algorithm.A speed controller based on incremental PID algorithm is designed for tracking channel.A torque controller based on feedforward feedback compound control algorithm is designed for loading channel.We find the shortcoming of traditional control algorithm by simulation.Thirdly,to solve this problem,we design a loading channel controller combining traditional CMAC with PID.However,the traditional CMAC has some limitations such as over fitting,low speed,which degrade the accuracy of the loading system.Based on these analysis,we propose a method to improve the performance of the CMAC algorithm.The proposal method includes two parts,1)the weight update algorithm based on confidence,2)learning rate adaptive algorithm.The simulation results of two algorithms show that the improved algorithm improves the static and dynamic performance of the loaded system.Finally,we built a dual-channel electric load simulator test platform and perform loading tests.First,we selected the key components of the loading system,then designed the hardware system and software system of the loading system,and finally carried out the loading test based on this.The experimental results show that the completed dual-channel electric load simulator meets the design requirements.
