In the current situation of rapid increase in car ownership, the speed of car scrapping is also accelerating. On the one hand, the abandoned automobile has become a heavy burden to the society and the environment,on the other hand, the abandoned automobile itself has certain economic value. In this paper, the first gear shaft of a certain type of automobile transmission is taken as the research object. The force analysis, stiffness and strength checking calculation of the gear shaft are carried out,and the failure modes of the gear shaft and its teeth are analyzed systematically according to the working conditions of the transmission. This provides an important basis for estimating the residual life of the first gear shaft of the transmission.According to it.This paper studies the fatigue life prediction method of the first gear shaft of the transmission, including the establishment of the three-dimensional model of the first gear shaft, the finite element model, the extraction of the working load spectrum and the S-N curve of the gear shaft material. The fatigue life of the gear shaft is calculated by the professional fatigue analysis software MSC.Fatigue.Finally,the technical route for predicting the remaining life of the decommissioned transmission is proposed, and the prediction model and calculation method of the remaining life of the transmission with clear service history and unclear service history are established. The influence of residual stress on the fatigue crack growth rate is analyzed and the residual life of the first gear shaft of the transmission is calculated by using the crack growth theory.Prediction of the residual life of a part before remanufacturing is of great significance for evaluating whether the part is suitable for remanufacturing and for directly utilizing the part without any repair process.
