The Car Body Design And The Aerodynamics Analysis Research Of Fsae Car

The research of automobile aerodynamics is an important content in the design of car body,it can improve the aerodynamic performance,the handing stability,the steering stability and the security of cars,it can also reduce the aerodynamic noise of cars,as it has an important effect on the economy of cars.In a automobile race,the car speed is higher and there are more bends in the field,as the car engine development is under the premise of relatively stable,the aerodynamic almost become the master of a race car performance.How to avoid the insufficient of wheel adhesion while increase engine power as much as possible and improve cornering speed in order to enhance the results of the competition are problems be increasingly close attention,so the research and car body's improved design of car's aerodynamic performance is particularly important in the process of the car's design.This article is based on Xing Ji AREI 4th racing car,racing team,Hebei University Of technology,as the object of study design,through the analysis of the body streamline and aerodynamic performance of the car,provide theoretical basis for the design of car body for 5th racing car.Design 5th racing car body according to the design concept and the FSAE format,establish three-dimensional structure model of the racing car by using CATIA software,Use ICEM software for grid partition.To get the data analysis of aerodynamic and flow field distribution,etc of the car body Through the FLUENT of CFD numerical simulation.Analyze the external flow field of the three-dimensional model of the racing car on the basis of previous work,analyze and calculate the aerodynamic performance of the car,and the design of the aerodynamics suite in line with the new car body,assemble and debug the 5th racing car with the aerodynamics suite.Finally,do CFD numerical calculation to the racing car,compared to the aerodynamic performance of 5th racing car without aerodynamics suite,analyze and evaluate the influence the aerodynamics suite do to the racing performance,the aerodynamic performance and the improvement of the flow field distribution.Finally,lay a theoretical foundation for the 5th racing car design and the practical application.
