Electrical connectors are one of the most important electromechanical components, widely used in electronic communications, aerospace, ship weapons and other fields, the contact performance and reliability have a direct impact on the safe operation of electrical and electronic equipment. The level of mechanical properties of electrical connectors affects electrical contact performance directly.Vibration and contact plug and pull characteristic testing are the important part of the test of electrical connector mechanical properties.Based on virtual test technology can reduce test cost and provide the basis for accelerating the research and development of the new products. In this paper, the circular three-pin electrical connectors were selected to do virtual test of vibration and plug and pull characteristic. The main work of this paper is as follows: first of all,by analyzing the structural characteristics of electrical connectors, the contact force of the contact reed was deduced, and the solid model of contact was established.A virtual vibration test program was designed to carry out the vertical and axial virtual vibration test, during the test, the displacement of the pin and the socket, the relative displacement and contact pressure between the pin and the socket were monitored, and the corresponding experimental verification was carried out.The virtual test program of the plug and pull characteristic was designed and the virtual test was carried out.The variation of the jack deformation, the maximum equivalent stress, the maximum insertion force and the contact pressure were analyzed and compared with the experimental results.
