Research On Environmental Design Of Wooden Houses In Cold Areas

As a kind of traditional architecture,wooden house has existed since the primitive society in China,and it is still in use today.Wooden houses are usually found in remote mountain and forest areas in China,and most of the houses are in the cold area in the North.Residential buildings have certain adaptability to the natural environment,the wooden houses in cold areas build standing by the mountains,and the local villagers use local materials to build the houses.From the selection of building materials to the complex construction techniques and then to the partition and layout of the interior environment,each of these steps were completed by the local skilled carpenters and villagers,so that forms construction skills and living culture with regional characteristics.This thesis discusses the environmental design of the wooden houses in cold areas.and especially the construction techniques and the interior environment design of the wooden houses in cold areas.Author visits and investigates a number of the typical wooden houses in cold areas in person during holidays,including the Arctic Village and the BeiHong Cun in Mohe Area,and the Jinjiang wooden house village in Changbaishan Mountain area and so forth,and summarizes the characteristics of wooden houses in different areas.The thesis uses the study of wooden buildings in cold areas as a entry point to analyze the environment of wooden houses in cold areas,and analyzes the construction process and the method of building wooden houses in cold areas combined with practice,through the summary of the background and history of the wooden house and the distribution of wooden houses.This thesis also systematically studies the elements of indoor environment of the wooden houses in cold areas from whole to parts,respectively explaining the spatial pattern,spatial arrangement and the interior details and workmanship of the wooden houses in cold areas.Finally,This thesis analyzes the value of inheritance combined with the overall status of wooden house building,and applies the development of wood house culture in cold areas to the development of cold areas.
