| Steering knuckle,as car chassis critical safety components,have important functions such as load bearing and steering,and attach automotive suspension,front axle,brake and steering system effectively,and the structure shape and loading form,manufacturing process are the key research topic in the production of automotive products.This paper is based on the enterprise standard stipulated in the bench test condition to a steering knuckle of macpherson suspension,finite element analysis,finite element model with the aid of HyperWorks collaborative simulation platform to establish a steering knuckle and its strength analysis,the optimization design and fatigue analysis.The main work and achievements are as follows:The finite element model of the steering section was established by HyperMesh,and the grid was divided into four sections.In this paper,the mechanical properties of nodular ductile iron are studied,and the stress strain curve is introduced into the finite element model.The modal information of the steering section is obtained through OptiStruct free modal analysis and corresponding analysis and evaluation are made.With the OptiStruct implicit algorithm,considering the nonlinearity of the steering knuckle material,the four statically damaged bench test conditions stipulated in the enterprise standard are simulated and the finite element analysis is carried out.The ultimate load of the steering knuckle under each working condition can be obtained through the post-processing of the simulation results,and compared with the bench test results to verify the reliability of the finite element analysis.Using the OptiStruct optimization design module,the free shape optimization technology with manufacturing process constraints is adopted to reduce the stress concentration of the steering section and use OSSmooth to generate the new mesh model of the design.By HyperWorks fatigue calculation Process Manager fatigue Process Manager to optimize the steering knuckle after stress and fatigue analysis,to calculate the steering knuckle under the condition of the fatigue test load cycle,forecasts the steering knuckle may be the site of fatigue fracture,the type of steering knuckle has certain guiding significance to the scientific research and practical production. |
