The Study On Improvement Of Procurement Management Of GP Company

With the development of China's economy and the socialist market environment changes,in China there are high demand for electronic products and then most of EMS-electronic manufacture service came out.GP is a medium manufacturer for sporting camera products,which founded in 2004.At the beginning,GP do business for the key well-known international brands OEM sporting cameras enterprise.Due to less competition in those days,GP got the rapid growth in recent years.With the pressure of market competition,GP also own their R&D center in China,whose business changed from OEM to ODM.However,because GP purchased all materials based on the production requirements at the earlier stage,Procurement management run not good without full control system to support.So,after the business transformation,the company's procurement management experience was not enough to support the growth of company,and there are big problem from strategy of purchasing,which resulted in high cost,quality issue and a lot of inventory.Also it seriously affected the healthy development of company.So,in order to survive in the cruel market competition and business environment,GP have to change the organization of purchasing department and introduce some procurement strategies,to reduce materials' cost and enhance the competitiveness of products.Firstly,through the analysis of the current situation of procurement management,and point out the weakness of company on purchasing strategy management.Then apply for the advanced procurement management theories and methods what we learnt from MBA,such as problem definition,issue analysis and solution.Finally,this paper summarizes the related conclusions.In addition,the results of this study not only has reference value for the small and medium-scale technology intensive company,some similar enterpises also has a good reference value.
