The avionics system develops in the direction of integration,modularization and intellectualization.Due to the lack of standard interface,a series of problem has arisen in the meantime,such as the substantial increase of development and maintenance in cost.The ARINC661 specification provides a new and open architecture for the cockpit display system,which has the characteristics of generality,openness,and convenient expansion.This paper focus on the design and implementation of the CDS kernel software based on ARINC661.Above all,the operation mechanism of the CDS based on ARINC661 is analysed,as well as the concept of the three essential factors is mentioned.Moreover,the functional requirement of the software is subdivided,and the architecture is proposed.Secondly,a general widget model is presented,which is easy to be expanded.Then,the key management technologies of the software are studied,including the logical structure of widgets,the response priority of layers or widgets,and the fast positioning technology of widgets.Further,the portability of software cross platform is discussed,concerning device management,efficient external interfaces and the graphic interface.Thirdly,this paper studies the openness of ARINC661,like individuation display,human-machine interaction,as well as the idea of virtual user application for integrated avionics system,and implements them in the software.Aiming at the problem that the map management widgets have in practice,an efficient display and control scheme is designed and implemented.Finally,this paper uses an application case to test the overall functions of the software,which includes DF loading,command processing,rendering and interactive processing.What's more,the kernel software reserched in this paper has applied in the airborne CDS successfully.A great quantity of validation and practical application shows that the CDS kernel software is reliable and has an excellent performance,with the generality of the widget model is outstanding.Meanwhile,it meets the requirements of practical application,which has an important national defense application value.
