The demand for avionic systems is highly increasing in system integration and human-computer interaction. How to make the interaction of the operator with aircraft systems become more safe, efficient and easy is a problem that should be solved quickly. The aircraft cabin is a work space for a pilot in the air,the pilot acquires the information of the aircraft and its surroundings by the display system in the cockpit, and then makes a decision to manipulate the aircraft correctly. Therefore, the cockpit display system plays an important role in the avionic systems. In this paper, the ARINC specification 661 of cockpit display system interfaces to user systems is studied and achieved. The main work includes interpretation the core content and concept of ARINC661,analysis of its dependent technology. This article focus on the research of design and implementation of the interface between cockpit display system(CDS)and user application(UA).This paper presents a method of display system develop conformed with the ARINC661 specification. The graphics components library is developed by using I data and OpenGL,the logic process programs and display application software are achieved based on VxWorks. The integrated display system designed in this paper has been tested and validated on a general-purpose aircraft avionics platform. The result shows that this display system works normally, easy control and can reduce the burden of the operator with high reliability, flexibility and expansibility.
