The Details Of Doors&Windows' Decoration Of Duwu Bay In Dabie Mountain

The history of building can be traced back to the residence building.Among buildings of all types,residence is considered to be the main type of buildings.However,general residence building is seldom endowed with commemorative nature cannot be last long.Alike other ordinary living materials,it will disappear after finishing the historical task within short time.However,residential building mostly can intuitively manifest the living state of people at that era.The information it conveys is concrete and genuine.Due to the limitation of various factors,most recorded in the list refer to official or religious buildings.Even though the sense of presence of vernacular architecture is weak,it is the most ecological,simple and living-based building type of Chinese architecture.China's traditional architecture features complicated structures,which brings about special sense of decoration beauty to China's traditional architecture.The structure of window and door in building is also characterized by the same decorative nature.When the structure of door and window is completely separated from the decoration and inclined to be superficial gradually,the window and door is just like the calligraphy without philosophical connotation,thus it cannot manifest its style characteristics.The studies on window and door decoration of building are mostly divided according to the territory,generally introducing the forms of door and window.Regarding decoration,the main emphasis is laid on conclusion of patterns and surface decorations of widow and door including door god and paper-cutting window decoration to study the cultural connotations of window and door.However,there is still lack of studies exploring the door and window in certain region.Besides,there are few studies on interpreting the door and window decoration from the perspective of structure.The author investigates,measures and draws the existing doors and windows in Duwu bay in Dabie Mountain area by taking the building doors and windows in Duwu bay in Dabie Mountain area as the main investigation objects and beginning with the structure of windows and doors in the hope of manifesting detailed door and window structure and also providing new thoughts and reference record for study on window and door decoration in Dabie Mountain area in the future.This paper is divided into five chapters.Chapter I and II refers to the introduction and brief introduction of nature and humanistic environment of Duwu bay.Chapter III is the main chapter of this paper.The author classifies the investigated doors and windows,interprets each component of windows and doors separately in detail through detail drawing,including the name,specification,dimension and structure of windows and doors to so as to manifest the combination of different structural components and the decoration effects of doors and windows.Besides,the author also briefly analyzes the role of doors and windows in the relationship between the human and natural environment.Chapter IV focuses on how to inheriting and protecting traditional doors and windows including recording and saving detail information of doors and windows of vernacular architecture and the reference of traditional doors and windows to the future architecture.The last chapter reaches the conclusion of this paper in the hope that this study can make contributions to the protection and discussion of windows and doors in Dabie Mountain area.
