Vehicles Handling Performance Research Based On The Suspension K&C Characteristics

Handling stability is one of the most important performance about the vehicle,which is affected by the suspension K&C performance,but there are few methods can be used to combine the handling stability and suspension K&C performance.This paper researches the handling stability by building ADAMS\CAR Multi-body dynamics model and the Mathematical model of vehicle handling stability theory.Three kinds of SUV are tested to analyze the suspension K&C characteristics and handling stability.by Suspension Parameter Measuring Machine and test equipment The test methods and significance is introduced in this test.the test data will be analyzed by subjective evaluationThe suspension K&C characteristics and the handling stability of SUV? are analyzed by the simulation of Multi-body dynamics model,which is built in ADAMS/CAR,the models' accuracy are validated by contrasting the results from simulation and test.The handling stability based on the vehicle structure is researched by ADAMS\CAR.The relationship between suspension K&C characteristics and handling stability will be researched by the simulation about 2 degrees of freedom linear Mathematical model which include suspension K&C parameters.The Mathematical model is established by the force analysis method based on the classic Two degrees of freedom linear Mathematical model.The accuracy of mathematical model is validated by contrasting the results from Mathematical model simulation and vehicle test.The paper studies the relationship between the suspension K&C characteristics and under steer.The mathematical model contained suspension K&C characteristics could determine the goal of suspension K&C performance,and provide reference for the chassis set-up,The mathematical model contained suspension K&C characteristics could enhance the design efficiency.Suspension performance belong to the active control,mathematical model contained suspension K&C characteristics can be used as a part of the chassis electronic control model,to refine the control model and provide theoretical support...
