With the development of new materials and construction technique,there have been more and more high-rise even super high-rise buildings in the architectural design.The shear wall with reinforced concrete is a lateral force component which is widely used in high-rise buildings.As the first line of defense in the earthquake resistant structure,shear walls can withstand larger horizontal earthquake force under the action of earthquake load,and the reason is that lateral stiffness of shear wall is large.However,since the self-deforming ability of shear wall is not good enough,the mixed use of high-strength steels and concrete shear walls can take a lot of benefits.Not only can it reduce the section width of shear wall effectively,but it can increase the bearing and deformation capacity,as well as the ductility of shear wall.Thus it is important to test the shear wall with high strength reinforced concrete.Seven end columns which are formed by concrete shear walls with high-strength stirrup are designed to do low cycle repeated loading experiments.In the experiment,the process and mode of component failure were studied and hysteretic characteristics,capacity,energy dissipation and ductility performance of columns were analyzed,especially the improvement of shear wall's seismic performance.Design parameters: stirrup strength,stirrup spacing,stirrup diameter,axial compression ratio,stirrup form.The result indicated that: with the configuration of HRB600 high-strength steels for end columns made of concrete shear walls,end columns can increase the constraint to shear walls,and the energy dissipation and deformation capacity also get increased.Axial compression ratio has some influence on the bearing and deformation capacity of shear wall.The ratio is lower,the degree of extreme deformation is higher,and the ductility is stronger,but the bearing capacity is lower.When the ratio is higher,end columns with HRB600 high-strength steels own better ductility and bearing capacity.As the shear span reduces,the bearing capacity can improve,but the yield displacement and ultimate displacement decrease,the ductility and the energy consumption reduce.And when the shear span gets higher,the bending deformation of the specimen becomes dominant,but the strain of the steel bars in the elastic and yield phases are in line with the plane section assumption.When the shear span gets lower,the shear deformation becomes dominant,and after entering the yield stage,the strain of steel bar deviates from the plane section assumption.
