Cable eccentricity measurement is an indispensable and important part for cable manufacturing.Cable eccentricity can cause a higher defective product of cable products,but also lead to waste of raw materials.Ultrasonic non-destructive testing technology to achieve zero damage detection of product quality,to improve product quality to provide a practical way.This paper studies the cable eccentric on-time detection system using ultrasonic nondestructive testing technology.In this paper,the development history and present situation of cable eccentricity detection are introduced,and the basic principles of the three kinds of detection methods are discussed.Then the paper introduces the development of non-destructive testing technology,also introduces the principle and method of ultrasonic non-destructive testing technology.On this basis,the development of cable eccentricity detection system based on FPGA is proposed.The eccentricity detection system is generally divided into two parts: PC and FPGA.FPGA chip is the core,select the A/D chip,nRF2401 wireless transmission chip and USB transmission chip according to the system needs,while design of the peripheral circuit to achieve the various functions of the system.The peripheral circuit includes A/D drive circuit,power supply circuit,clock and reset circuit and the interface between the chip circuit.The software part use SOPC technology and modular design ideas,the system is divided into nRF2401 data transmission module,data processing module,data acquisition module and USB data transmission module 4 functional modules.Software programming using Visual Basic language.The PC completes the management control of the FPGA,processes the uploaded data and realizes the visualization of the measurement result,and then analyzes whether the cable is eccentric.
