| With integration between Sustained economic growth of Siri Lanka and Chinese “one belt one road” policy,Siri Lanka Harbor Authority signed a contract agreement with China Harbor Engineering Corporation on construction of the Hambantota Harbor.In this article,based on main creative items and key technology during construction of the Hambantota Harbor,the main content and innovations are as follows:(1)According to the geomorphological characteristics of the port site,the overall implementation plan for the construction of deep water port by land in the lagoon dis proposed.The general layout of the port is broken through the limitations of traditional design such as port nearby the shore,and the new concept of building a port according to local conditions is innovatively used,to build a deep water port by land in the lagoon,becoming the world’s first.(2)The cofferdam and cut off wall system is a control key that is crucial for creating dryland construction conditions;the cofferdam layout and structure are adapted to local conditions;the cut off wall adopts plastic concrete anti-seepage wall,rigid concrete anti-seepage wall and water-stop curtain;The measures to carry out cofferdams to stop water are reasonable and feasible.(3)Optimization of gravity caisson of marine structure shall be considered based on dryland construction conditions,a new type structure like combination structure between caisson and counterfort is chosen,which makes the internal force distribution of the structure more reasonable,improves the bearing capacity of the wharf structure,and reduces the project cost. |
