After ten years of the “golden period” of the domestic elevator industry,there has been the descending inflection point of annual purchase quantity in 2015 for the first time.With the anticipative continuing decline of the real estate market growth,there will be fiercer competition of domestic elevator market progressively.There are mainly three categories of elevator products,including vertical lift,escalator and moving walk.In the wake of the rapid development of domestic high-speed rail and subway,the purchase quantity of escalator and moving walk has been quickly increasing and become the profitable market that all the elevator enterprises contend for,against the trend of decreasing in elevator purchase quantity.Consequently,the continuous improvement of the four key businesses so as to attain the industry leading position has become the essential task which enterprise management are concerned with.The four key businesses for escalator manufacturers are how to improve the quality of design,manufacture,maintenance service and customer use.This dissertation takes Guangzhou Factory of O Company as case study object,analyzes the quality management level stage the object is at and the major issues it is faced with,being the representative of escalator manufactures.Based on total quality management theory as the fundamental theory of study,along with the tool of project management and guiding principle and philosophical concept of lean management,it probes into escalator manufacture quality management mode.Through summary of experience,method of qualitative and quantitative analysis and observation method in research process,it generalizes and summarizes a set of 14-step improvement plan model from the cases with escalator manufacture process capability advancement as priority pointcut,atmosphere improvement on account of lean management,and project management tool application so as to ensure the optimized resources allocation.Thereby it assists the enterprises with the rapid advancement of escalator manufacture quality and wins competitive advantages for enterprises.The case study object has been maintaining outstanding design quality level all the time by virtue of effective application of process instrument of product research and development permit in design quality.Hence the dissertation conducts in-depth study mainly on quality of escalator manufacture.Moreover,the Chinese elevator market in the future will transform from new elevator market to maintenance market.It means the study on the author's prospective research direction will be the quality management of escalator maintenance business based on total quality management theory.Meanwhile,this dissertation is expected to provide escalator manufacturer peers with management reference in their development.
