Research On Interior Communication Space Design Of Elderly Apartments In Pearl River Delta Area Based On Environmental Behavior

With the development of the aging of the population and family structure size reduction in our country,the pressure of family pension is more and more heavy.At the same time,due to the rapid development of social economy,the concept and the requirement of old-age have also changed.They began to pursue a safe,comfortable,diverse and well-served retirement environment.The elderly are increasingly accepting of institutional pension facilities.As an important part of the institution for old-age care,the design of elderly apartment should not only meet the basic living needs,but also pay attention to the old behaviour and psychological demand under the background of current era,focus on the elderly intercourse activities,promote the physical and mental health of the elderly.Based on the Pearl River Delta area as an example,with an old internal communication space as the research object,this paper has investigated and compared five representative elderly apartments in pearl river delta,and summed up the characteristics and meet the demand of the elderly behavior of the elderly intercourse communication space characteristics by combining the relevant theories of environmental behavior.Finally,the design principles and strategies of the internal communication space of the elderly apartment are proposed according to the problems and inspirations found in the survey.The paper is divided into five chapters.The first chapter elaborates the background of the research,which points out the demand for the elderly apartment communication space under the background of population aging and the concept of pension,and clarifies the purpose and significance of the research.As the theoretical basis and guidance of research,the second chapter mainly introduces the environmental behavior theory about communication space and the basic characteristic of the elderly,which leads to the types of the elderly intercourse,elderly apartment internal communication space composition level as well as the factors influencing the intercourse space.The third chapter,based on environmental behavior theory,summarizes the characteristics of the elderly’s communicative behavior and the characteristics of the internal communication environment of the elderly apartment to meet the behavioral needs from the perspective of behavior and environment;The fourth chapter summarizes the problems and inspirations of the internal communication space of the elderly apartments in Pearl River Delta through comparative analysis of the elderly apartments.The fifth chapter is the core of the full section,On the basis of summarizing the research case and theory,combined with the Pearl River Delta region of the climate problem,this chapter put forward elderly apartment internal communication space design principles and design strategies in the Pearl River Delta region,and enumerated case at home and abroad to illustrate;The last part of this paper is to summarize the research results and put forward new prospects,so as to provide some references for the design of internal communication space of the elderly apartments in Pearl River Delta.
