The Research Of The Communication Space In Aging Apartment

Aging population over60in our country has reached the proportion of10%around2000, which indicates that China has formally entered the ranks of aging countries. Aging in our country reflect features of large population base, fast developing, large groups of senior citizens, low standards of living condition, uneven geographical distribution etc, and aging problem has become grim in our country. One of the core problem of aging is the residential condition, in which communication requests should be concerned. While pension idea is changing nowadays, apartments for the old turns out to be the best choice of old people. Complements for the communication space in apartment for the old is particular important.In the first chapter, article described the background and significance of the topic and the main research method. In the second chapter, development of apartment for the old were discussed and the definition of apartment for the old and communication space were made. Then area of activities for old people and aspects which influence old people while communicating involving distance, dimension, experience time, physical (mental) change were analyzed. In the end, special needs for communication activities were concluded from human to human, human to environment and human to society. Comparations were made between2foreign cases and4domestic cases in the third chapter, so as to find the deficiency and reference of related study in the domestic and overseas. In the forth chapter, conclusions were made depending on the former research. The author discusses the space form and the design strategies respectively based on the communication behavior of the elderly and the others, and then according to the order of spatial scale, which refers to the external space environment, the public space of the building, the public and half illicit close space of the building, and the illicit close space of the building, sums up the design strategies of communication space from the perspective of architectural design. The author hopes that these design strategies can be used to practice and provide theoretical support for the project design of Yunnan aging apartment. In the fifth chapter, the author briefly introduces the project profile and the concept of the scheme of Yunnan aging apartment, and emphatically analyzes the design of communication space. And the application were made in projects relying on the reaserch conclusion.
