With the widespread application of computer technology and mobile terminal equipment in the power industry,the way of electricity meter reading should be changed from the way of traditional manual meter reading to the modern way.Seeking for an economical,efficient and intelligent meter reading method is the urgent need of current power marketing staff.At present,the automatic remote intelligent meter reading mode has basically spread among most large and medium-sized cities,however,in the process of its use,there are also obvious defects,such as incomplete data collection coverage,low collection success rate,manual errors,inconsistent data,and poor real-time performance.It greatly affects the operation of monthly accounting,periodic verification,etc.based on meter reading.With the rapid development of wireless network technology and the widespread use of PDA,developing a hand-held intelligent meter reading system can alleviate the above problem.In order to meet the demand of intelligent meter reading system,the research work of this project starts from the requirement of high efficiency,stability,reliability and convenience of the system and design a handheld intelligent meter reading remote terminal system for improving the copying working mode.Specific research work is as follows.(1)According to the current development of meter reading system at home and abroad,the paper analyzes the demand of meter reading of marketing department in power supply enterprises in large cities and set research and development goals accordingly.(2)According to the actual demand of power supply enterprise and application requirement of meter reading terminal system,this paper designs the software architecture of PDA intelligent meter reading remote terminal system.The system mainly includes three aspects: system overall workflow,software functional framework and function module design,which theoretically meets the requirements.(3)Based on the architecture of the system,the main modules of the system are designed.It mainly includes: PDA type selection,the design and development of meter reading module and data communication module.Amongthem,the meter reading module synthetically uses global positioning technology,mobile camera technology,bar code scanning technology,mobile database to realize.Data transmission module is implemented by Web Service technology.By taking the integrality,maneuverability and problem control into full consideration in the system design,the system program operating efficiency is improved.(4)Applying the designed terminal system in a power supply company's actual meter reading task to test the operability,practicability and accuracy of the interface of the system,the tests result shows that it achieves the requirements of automation,excelsior and standardization of meter reading.
