Research On The Application Of The Smart Meter Automatic Reading System

With the development of economy, the demand of power consumption is rapidly increasing, and the requirement level of scientific and economic power dispatch is higher. In order to arrange power supply according to power consumption in different periods, and justify fee ration in different periods, more aumomatic technology is needed to be introduced to the power production and supply, one of whcih is remote automatic reading system.Based on GPRS wireless communication technology and microprocessor, this paper constructs a remote automatic reading system, which includes electric energy meters, data acquisition unit and the PC management software system. Electric energy meters includes power supply module, current voltage sampling module, communication module, clock module and LCD display module. stores the information in the internal memory, transfers the acquired information to main control center through GPRS wireless communication technology, and also receive and excute the orders from main control center. Design the PC management software system. Based on the global scheme, parameters configuration module of system server, electric energy acquisition system module and database query module are realized.Through the design of the system, drawbaks of conventional manual meter reading method can be solved, the accuracy rate and efficiency of reading meters will be improved, which benefits rational planning of power supply work for the power supply department, and provide a certain reference for meter reading method of the public service department such as gas and water supply department.
