In recent years,the series resonant IF induction furnace for its heating speed,high efficiency,energy-saving advantages,have been the rapid development and wide application at home and abroad.In order to solve the energy problem,many countries are seeking to develop IF induction furnace,to replace the traditional cupola.IF induction power supply is the core of induction furnace,this paper introduces the design process of 6000 kW series resonant inverter power supply.The design has the following steps:First,introduced the basic principles of induction heating and the basic constitution of IF induction furnace;Second,designed the main circuit structure of the series resonant IF induction power supply,including dual 12-pulse rectifier circuit,filter circuit and inverter circuit.Using MATLAB/SIMULINK,built a mathematical model to give the simulation analysis of the 12-pulse rectifier circuit,and further elaborated the working principle of the inverter circuit and the principle of power regulation;Third,the inverter circuit of the high-power series resonant IF induction power supply must use the manner of multiple series-parallel of thyristor devices,and the current of induction coil of series resonant IF induction furnace is equal to the current of main circuit,the current of induction coi will through all thyristors.Therefore this paper designed a dual 12-pulse rectifier circuit and current limiting inductor to achieve a thyristor circuit components;Fourth,designed the trigger circuit and protection circuit of the series resonant IF induction power supply,including rectifier trigger circuit,inverter trigger circuit,overvoltage protection circuit,over-current protection circuit,under-pressure protection circuit and phase sequence protection circuit;Fifth,debugging methods were described in detail of IF induction power supply,and the common faults of IF induction power source were also analyzed.
