Study On The Influence Of The Middle Section Of The Trans-Asian Railway On The Trade Volume Of Yunnan And Thailand

With the commencement of the first phase of the China-Thailand railway project by the end of 2017,the central section of the Trans-Asian Railway(Kunming-Bangkok)has entered a phase of full-scale construction.The central section of the Trans-Asian Railway(Kunming-Bangkok)will be completed in 2021,this is the fastest progress in the construction of the three routes.This international thoroughfare,which will connect China with the countries of Indo-China Peninsula.This international metropolis is bound to affect the trade development between Yunnan and Thailand.Therefore,this paper studies the influence of the Pan-Asian Railway's central section(Kunming-Bangkok)on the trade development between Yunnan and Thailand.First,on the basis of the predecessors,through analysis of data and data,we analyzed the development of bilateral trade in recent years;Then,using SWOT analysis to analyze the influence of the opening of the railway on the trade development between Yunnan Province and Thailand from the advantages,disadvantages,opportunities and threats;Secondly,since the railways are constructed to traffic and connected to Yunnan and the northern and southern parts of Thailand,they will have an impact on the logistics performance and the logistics costs of both regions.Therefore,the gravity model of the import and export trade between Yunnan and Thailand was constructed to quantitatively analyze the logistics performance Index(LPI)of both regions and the sub-items involved in logistics performance(customs,infrastructure,international shipments,logistics competence,Tracking and Tracing,Timeliness),and the impact of the cost of the logistics of goods per unit on the development of bilateral trade;Finally,based on the analysis results,relevant suggestions are proposed for promoting the development of international logistics in Yunnan Province.
