The Patent Analysis Of Energy Storage Technology In New Energy Industry

In the face of global energy shortage,ecological deterioration and other focus issues in the world,measures for the development of new energy sources have been adopted at home and abroad,and energy storage technologies in the new energy industry have also developed rapidly.Patent information is an important source of information that includes technical information,legal information and economic information.It can be used to understand the development of technology,development trends,market trends and so on,thus extract the future development direction and business strategy of technology.This paper analyzes the development trend,activity,layout,technology composition,and applicants and inventors of energy storage technology patents in new energy industries in China and around the world by means of bibliometric method analysis and statistics,and the results show that the number of patents on energy storage technology in new energy in the world is generally on the rise,especially in recent three years,the activity of patent application in China has been promoted to be a major patent application country for energy storage technologies in the world.The export of patent technology in China is larger than the import amount of technology and domestic enterprises are increasing efforts to conduct patent layout overseas.Mechanical energy and chemical energy storage are the main innovative technologies for new energy storage in the world,and their patent applications account for about 60% of the total.The top ten applicants for new energy storage technology in the world,Japan accounted for six companies,have an absolute advantages in the field of new energy storage technology.Among the top ten inventors of the global new energy storage technology,the main innovators are concentrated in Japan,China,Germany,and the United States.Research areas of them are mainly related to mechanical energy,thermal energy storage and other aspects.The energy storage technology of new energy industry in China is rapidly development from 2005,and the application amount in 2016 reach up to 1100.The proportion of effective patent,invalid patent and patent under review respectively is40.66%,38.34% and 21%.The main energy storage technologies of new energy industry in China are mechanical energy storage and thermal energy storage,and the application amount respectively are 2444 and 1339.There are five companies,such as State Grid,Wuxi Rongcheng New Energy Technology Co.,Ltd,etc,and two universities such as Southeast University,Beijing Industry University and Tianjing University,and two individual in the top 10 applicants of energy storage technologies of new energy industryin China.The innovation subjects are mainly focus on enterprise and university.The R&D fields are mainly focus on thermal energy storage and the equipment of the top 10 inventors,and the cooperative partners and talent introduction can be found out.
