With the rapid development of the world’s economy,competition among countries is intensifying,how to gain a leading position in the field of technology is becoming more and more important for all countries.New energy vehicle is an emerging energy industry that adapts to the times and involves a wide range of technologies.The new energy vehicle industry is an important driving force for national development.The progress of the industry technology can be used to measure the level of national technological innovation.China’s new energy vehicle industry started a little later than foreign developed countries.Although after decades of development,China’s new energy vehicle industry has also achieved certain results,it still has a long way to go before it can overtake developed countries.This requires China to improve its technology innovation capabilities,carry out technology forecasting activities in the industry,and actively grasp the future development direction of the new energy vehicle field,which also has very important practical significance for enhancing China’s international competitiveness.Technology forecasting explores the key methods of future technology development directions and key areas.Technology forecasting methods can break the bottleneck of existing technology development and improve the technological innovation capabilities of countries and enterprises.It can also help countries and enterprises discover the development trend of the industry and formulate relevant strategic goals.Deploy ahead of time in promising technical fields and occupy a favorable position in international competition.Patent data contains the characteristics of technological development.Through the method of analyzing and exploring the patent data,it can help the industry to control the direction of technology development.Existing technology prediction methods usually can only predict a local feature in the process of technological innovation,and cannot comprehensively reflect the development of technology in this field.This research analyzes and explores the technological development maturity of China’s new energy vehicle industry,starting from the three dimensions of technological development and combining the combined application of multiple technical analysis methods,and proposes a three-dimensional integrated technology prediction model based on patent data analysis.Then empirically analyze this model in the field of new energy vehicles,and then combine patent measurement algorithms and the stage characteristics of the technology life cycle theory to distinguish the development stage of new energy vehicle in China and explore the future technological development in this field.Finally,this research explores the key technology development areas and popular directions in this industry in the future,and puts forward some suggestions for the further development of China’s new energy vehicle industry,and then guides the technological innovation activities of China’s new energy vehicle industry in a planned way.
