| This work reports the creation of a series of domestic ceramics,i.e.,The Soul of Jade.On the base of traditional Chinese jade culture,it analyzes the role of jade in the ancient literary works and studies the impact of jade culture on the traditional ceramic arts.The Soul of Jade draws the characteristics of the jade culture and its application in the ceramic design.The design of domestic ceramics combines modern aesthetic expression with traditional beautiful virtues represented by the jade ware after exaggerating,deforming,and reconstructing jade symbols.The Soul of Jade has a new connotation and more modern flavor while it absorbs the current artistic trend and inherits traditional ceramic culture.It may enrich the design of modern ceramic product after integrating the jade elements,such as Gui,Huang,and Bi,into ceramic modeling. |
