Ceramic makes China renowned through the whole world as the Quintessence of China since ancient times. China is a big country of ceramic production, which produces a large number of pottery for export and domestic sales every year, of which domestic ceramics are a major part. But China is not a powerful nation of ceramic; the reason for this situation is diverse, and the packaging is a direct factor of these reasons. For many reasons, domestic ceramic products packaging has been in the doldrums and confusion, which largely affects the development of the ceramics industry and Chinese ceramics cultural heritage. So,research of domestic ceramics packaging redesign has become an important topic in the sustainable development of the ceramic industry and ceramic culture.The research projects are carried out on the basis of practical research on the China Ceramics packaging market.and then summarized the reasons under the status quo situation which led to the packaging market in the doldrums,Proposes that packaging redesign is a direct means to change this situation. The packaging redesign not only comes from the reform of the status quo, but also should take into account the social status of ceramics for daily use, so the paper analyses the reasons for the packages redesign from emotional, cultural, technological, and economic perspectives. For the concept of the packaging design, the paper should takes long-term development perspective of domestic ceramics, and takes people as the center. Thus, Benevolent—the concept of the packaging redesign in domestic ceramics—is put forward, that is takes humane care as the core, gives a detail explanation in Green lifestyle-oriented and a strategic discussion about the design plan of domestic ceramics packaging.Finally the paper discusses the extended value of cultural and creative industries, traditional ceramic culture, corporate brand generated by ceramic packaging redesign.Packaging redesign in the paper is a strategic direction of Packaging design, aiming at reforming the current situation of domestic ceramics. It is not only a Packaging reform, which will improve the companies’ market share, but also a renovation of the concept of domestic ceramics design. The concept suggests that the Packaging Design of domestic ceramics should stand on people’s point to consider. On the basis of the satisfaction of function of the packaging, the concept lets consumers to perceive China’s ceramic culture and green lifestyle. At the same time, through this study, I hope to broaden the idea of the Packing Design and to promote the packaging industry and the sustainable development of the society.
