Quanzhou,short for carp,is also known as Carp City and Zayton City.Located in the southeast coast of Fujian Province,Quanzhou is beside the mountain and near the sea with various sorts of delicacies.Quanzhou was rewarded as culture city of east Asia in August,2003 as it is the starting point of the Maritime Silk Road,the ancient capital of history and culture,the exhibition center of multi-ethnic culture,and has rich tourism and cultural resources.As a beautiful coastal city,its architectural landscape,cultural customs and dietary habits are all with the characteristics of the ancient city and become a resounding name card of urban development.However,the design of the local cultural and creative products does not well match with the diversified ethnic culture of Quanzhou,for example,the design of the local cultural products is mainly based on Minnan Han culture,while lacks the promotion of ethnic minorities' culture in Quanzhou.Therefore,this paper proposes to design the products with the visual language of the She minority pattern,which is one of the ethnic cultures in Quanzhou,to re-render the diversified essence of humanistic art.Firstly,this paper analyzes the regional background,cultural characteristics and values of Quanzhou,and puts forward the cultural and creative product development.Secondly,the deficiency in product design is found through the investigation and analysis of the market status,and this paper makes suggestions on the assumption and strategy of combining ethnic culture with product design.Lastly,developing and designing the cultural and creative products of the She minority brand,including the design of the brand identity,the product rendering and other contents.Cultural and creative products of She minority also reflect the cultural characteristics of this tourism city.Through "Shanhake",the cultural and creative design idea and method,hope to provide a new direction for the development of local She people,strengthen the regional characteristics of Quanzhou's multi-culture,improve the regional culture and image visual influence,and enhance the popularity of the city.
