The rapid development in recent ten years has not only stimulated the national economy, but also brought tremendous impact and challenges to civil aviation. With the proposal and implementation of the "Eight Horizons and Eight Longitudes" plan for high-speed rail and the improvement of the network layout of civil aviation airports, the competition game between high-speed rail and civil aviation will gradually intensify. In the mid-long distance high-speed passenger transport market, the choice of travelers between high-speed rail and civil aviation has become the key point of the competition game between them.In this context, this paper will launch a study on the behavior of medium and long distance travel mode selection under the game between high-speed rail and civil aviation.Firstly,on the basis of a comprehensive overview of the game between high-speed railway and civil aviation, the behavior model of travel mode selection and the current situation of the impact mechanism of travel mode selection, this paper puts forward the research content and technical route of this paper. Then, according to the development of high-speed railway and civil aviation, the status quo of competition game and its influencing factors, the potential variables affecting travelers' choice of travel modes are determined.Secondly, the integration model of SEM-Logit is constructed based on the theory of Disaggregated Model and structural equation model, which is suitable for the middle and long distance travel mode choice behavior in the game between high-speed rail and civil aviation. Then, according to the data needed by the model,RP&SP survey method is used to survey the middle and long distance travelers who take high-speed rail and civil aviation. Finally, the logit model, the structural equation model and the SEM-Logit model are constructed by using the collected data, and the selection behavior of medium-long distance travel mode and its influence mechanism under the game between high-speed railway and civil aviation are analyzed from different models. The main conclusions are as follows:(1)Age,annual income, travel distance, travel purpose, travel cost and travel time,arrival/airport mode and time,departure/airport mode and time in connection attribute variables are all significant factors affecting the choice of medium-long distance travel mode in the game between high-speed rail and civil aviation. The influence of travel distance is the most significant.(2)Structural equation model is used to verify that latent variables such as economy, rapidity, punctuality, safety, convenience and comfort have a positive and direct impact on travel intention.Among them, economy has the greatest impact on high-speed travelers, and rapidity has the greatest impact on Civil Aviation travelers.(3)The model precision of SEM-Logit model considering latent variables is higher than that of Logit model without latent variables. The significant factors obtained by SEM-Logit model include not only annual income in individual attribute variables, but also travel attribute variables, connection attribute variables and all variables in latent variables.Among them, travel distance is the most significant, followed by economy in latent variables.(4)The single factor analysis is used to analyze the influence mechanism of individual attribute variables, travel attribute variables, connection attribute variables and latent variables on the choice behavior of medium and long distance travel modes under the game between highspeed rail and civil aviation, which provides powerful data support for the more reasonable competition game between high-speed rail and civil aviation, and for improving their weak links to enhance their attractiveness to travelers.
