Iron tailings is the largest and least utilized industrial solid waste in China,at present,iron tailings can only be stacked due to technical limitations.A large number of iron tailings accumulation not only occupy arable land,polluting the environment also brought a serious burden on the relevant enterprises.On the other hand,the large-scale construction of highways in our country leads to an increasingly shortage of road materials.The application of iron tailings in highway engineering not only solves the environmental problems caused by iron tailings accumulation,but also solves the problem of shortage of road materials,which is conducive to environmental protection and conservation of natural resources.In this paper,we systematically studied the road performance of cement and soil stabilizer stabilized iron tailing by laboratory test.First,through the compaction test and 7d unconfined compressive strength test,the optimum moisture content,the maximum dry density and the proper dosage of the curing agent were determined,and a simplified forecasting model of influencing factors of 7d unconfined compressive strength of curing agent stabilizer iron tailings was established.Through unconfined compressive strength test,splitting test,compressive resilience modulus test,the mechanical properties of the stabilized iron tailings with were investigated,based on the experimental results,a characterization parameter including curing agent content and curing age was constructed,curing agent stabilized iron tailings strength and this characterization parameters have a good power function relationship.Through the water-stability test,freeze-thaw cycle test and aging at high temperature test were used to investigate the durability of the curing agent stabilized iron tailings,and a simplified forecasting model of the factors affecting the water stability coefficient of curing agent stabilizer iron tailings is established.Combined with the experimental data,through comparative analysis of two kinds of curing agent economic and environmental benefits.The results showed that:curing agent content of 8%-12%,the strength of curing agent stabilized iron tailings in line with the relevant specifications of the grass-roots material strength requirements,Factors influencing the 7d unconfined compressive strength of curing agent stabilized iron tailings are ranked by their weights were: curing agent content(0.476~0.535),compaction(0.238~0.442),curing agent content and compaction interaction(0.067).The order of Influence factors of compressive strength of curing agent stabilized iron tailings is: curing age> curing agent content> compaction degree.The splitting strength increases with the increase of dosage and compaction degree.The compressive resilience modulus increases with the curing age.In terms of compressive strength,splitting strength and compressive resilience modulus,the cement stabilized iron tailings are superior to the soil stabilizer stabilized iron tailings.Curing agent stabilized iron tailings water better stability.The main factors influencing the water-stability of curing agent stabilied iron tailings are the compaction degree,curing agent content and the interaction between the compaction degree and curing agent content.Curing agent stabilized iron tailings five freeze-thaw strength loss rate between 2.77% ~ 38.20%,and ten freeze-thaw strength loss rate between 6.87% ~ 30.02%.The high-temperature curing ages of splitting strength and compressive resilience modulus of cement stabilized iron tailings with 10% cement were 10 d and 14 d respectively.The high-temperature curing ages of splitting strength and compressive resilience modulus of soil stabilizer stabilized iron tailings with 10% soil stabilizer were 7d and 10 d respectively.In terms of water-stability,frost resistance,the soil stabilizer stabilized iron tailings are superior to the cement stabilized iron tailings.Combining the experimental results analysis of the economic benefits and environmental benefits of the curing agent stabilized iron tailings shows that compared with the traditional road materials,Cement stabilizd iron tailings have greater economic benefits,and the soil stabilizer stabilized iron tailings have greater environmental benefits.
