| China has entered the era of mass tourism,and the public demand for the tourism quality is rapidly increasing.Under such a background of national tourism,the cultural tourism is gradually favored by the public.More and more people get out of their homes to experience the rich and colorful culture of different regions in China in their rest days and the long holidays,and to pursue the vicissitudes left over from the long history.The Pingyao ancient city in Pingyao County,Jinzhong City,Shanxi Province is one of the best-preserved "four ancient cities" in China.In December 1997,the whole Pingyao ancient city declared its success as a world cultural heritage,and the third batch of state-level cultural relics protection unit in China-Shuanglin Temple,the national 4A scenic spot known as the“The Oriental Treasure Art Treasury",was together listed in the World Cultural Heritage.Although more than 1400 springs and autumns have passed,the Chinese Scholartree of the Tan,the ancient stone tablets of the Song,the bell tower of the Ming,as well as the ancient buildings,colorful sculptures and frescoes in the temple are rare treasures.In particular,more than 2,000 painted clay statues in the temple are even more praiseworthy.Such exquisite and rich cultural resources lay a good foundation for the development of the Pingyao cultural tourism.In recent years,with the rise of cultural tourism in Shanxi Province,the little-known Shuanglin Temple generally attracted human attention.As the Shaanxi Provincial People’s Government Press Office announced in the press conference held on January 19,2018,the number of tourists and comprehensive income of Pingyao Ancient City Tourism increased from 100,000 in 2006 to 1.008 million in the last year,and from 7.1 million yuan to 107 million yuan,thus increasing by 10 times and 15 times respectively.Nevertheless,after survey and research,it is found that the tourism souvenir market in Pingyao Ancient City and Shuanglin Temple is almost non-existent,and remains to be developed.As for this project,the theme is "painted sculpture cultural product design of Shuanglin Temple".Taking the painted sculpture in Shuanglin Temple as the background,it aims to serve the development of the cultural tourist souvenir of the Pingyao Ancient City and the Shuanglin Temple,to stimulate the tourist consumption,and to add vitality to the Pingyao cultural tourism market.Based on the design concept of inheriting,innovating and promoting traditional Chinese art and culture,it aims to bring the traditional culture into the human lives along with the development of the cultural and tourism market.In this project,it uses the documentary research,field surveys,and key interviews to fully understand the historical and cultural background,development history,tourism market development,and status quo of Pingyao Ancient City and Shuanglin Temple.The theoretical basis for the design of this project is formed through scientific analysis.Taking the "basic necessities of life" as the main line,and based on the design concept of heritage,innovation,promotion,and practicality,it forms a series of cultural and creative products that have the beauty of the traditional colorful art of Shuanglin Temple and meet needs of contemporary fashion life through the extraction and repair of the classic shapes and patterns of Shuanglin Temple,and by organically integrating with the contemporary lifestyle products. |
