Under the background of open social environment and diversified culture,cultural innovation industrygradually become active in the public vision.At present,the construction base of domestic cultural innovation industry is springing fast.Enterprises not only promotes the prosperity of cultural market,but also promotes the international competitiveness of our cultural industry.However,at the time of the rapid development of cultural innovation industry,the great demand for the talents of cultural innovation industry has become the biggest challenge to the development of cultural innovation industry,which has prompted nearly 500 colleges and universities in China to set up art and design major,all this major are over liberal arts colleges,science colleges and comprehensive colleges.On the one hand,the market demand of cultural innovation industry leads the expansion of the training of design talents,and some higher art design colleges and universities are have incomplete knowledge structure because of the outmoded training methods,which leads to the incomplete knowledge structure in the cultivation of cultural innovation design major.This can make the design ability of students uneven.On the other hand,art students increasing year by year,because of the improvement of the employment standard of the cultural innovation industry,the fluctuation of the market demand,and the various colleges and universities(Including undergraduate and higher vocational colleges),all this makes the talent training and development prospect for them of cultural innovation industry becoming an increasingly serious practical task.In recent years,Hunan cultural innovation industry began to develop rapidly,followed by the urgent personnel need of Hunan cultural innovation industry.Due to the lack of excellent creative talents,the rapid development of cultural innovation industry has been restricted.And most of the Chinese creative talents in the market are come from graduates who majoring in art and design in colleges and universities,therefore,the promotion of cultural innovation product design education in Hunan colleges and universities has become the most urgent task during the development of cultural innovation industry in Hunan.Based on the characteristics analysis of design education in colleges and universities in Hunan province,and the present situation of cultural innovation industry,this paper explores the relationship between the characteristics of design education and the development of local cultural innovation industry.This paper also summarizes the characteristics of the creative product design education in colleges and universities in Hunan Province.The harmonious development of cultural innovation industry brings opportunities and challenges to the design education of art colleges and universities.As play an important role of driving force to promote the harmonious development of society,colleges and universities undertake the functions for talent training,cultural innovation,technological innovation and social service.This paper explores the characteristics of creative design education and the law of promoting cultural innovation in colleges and universities,and follows the law to study how to promote the design innovation with its own professional direction,furthermore,promote the cultural innovation.From its own point of view,we should consider the creative spirit of product design and promote cultural innovation with design innovation.
