In winter,the anti-skid ability of icy roads decrease sharply,and the vehicles are apt to skid,which seriously affects the road traffic safety and capacity,and brings huge economic losses and casualties to the country.In view of the drawbacks of traditional ice-deicing and snow-melting technology,this paper develops hydrophobic anti-icing coating technology and materials by using anti-icing technology for high voltage transmission lines and road snow melting and ice suppression technology.In this paper,the ice adhesion characteristics of asphalt pavement are studied,and the factors affecting the ice adhesion strength are analyzed.The hydrophobic anti-icing coating material is designed and manufactured in the laboratory,and its anti-icing performance and road performance are tested and analyzed.(1)Research on the ice adhesion characteristics of asphalt pavement.Starting from the phenomenon of adhesion,the mechanism of ice adhesion on asphalt pavement was analyzed.The factors affecting the ice adhesion strength of asphalt pavement were divided into internal and external factors,and the internal factors(pavement wettability and roughness)which were easily changed by human beings were tested separately.The tensile test and shear test results of the icing specimens showed that the ice adhesion strength decreased with the decrease of the surface wettability of the test piece.When the surface contact angle was from 41.3° to 98.8°,the ice normal and tangential adhesion strength decreased the most,which were 46.7% and 59.8%,respectively.When the test piece is a hydrophilic surface,the ice adhesion strength increases with the increase of the roughness,and when the test piece is a hydrophobic surface,the ice adhesion strength decreases with the increase of the roughness.The surface wettability has a significant effect on the ice adhesion strength of specimens.(2)Anti-icing mechanism and design of hydrophobic anti-icing coating.Based on the experimental study on the influencing factors of pavement ice adhesion strength,the anti-icing mechanism of hydrophobic anti-icing coatings was proposed,including hydrophobic viscosity reduction,freezing point reduction and sustained release.According to the anti-icing mechanism,the hydrophobic ice-suppressing coating is designed into three components,including film-forming component,anti-icing component and adhesive component,and the mass ratio of each component was determined.After the preparation of the hydrophobic anti-icing coating,the contactangle of the coating was up to 131.6° and the hydrophobic property was better.The components were uniformly dispersed under the fluorescence microscope,and the compatibility was good.The pull-out test obtained the adhesion strength between the coating and the road surface was 0.66 MPa,and the damage occurred on the joint surface of the asphalt film and the aggregate,and the adhesion performance was good.In conductivity test,the anti-icing components in the coating precipitate slowly,which can inhibit the icing of pavement when the temperature of snow is higher than-0.5℃.It has good slow-release performance.(3)Research on anti-icing and deicing performance of hydrophobic anti-icing coating.Analyze the icing process of pavement,and study the anti-icing performance of hydrophobic anti-icing coating from the aspects of icing delay time and icing reduction.The results show that the hydrophobic ice-suppressing coating can delay the icing time of the surface of the asphalt mixture specimens more than double.The liquid droplets on the surface can maintain for a long time,and the droplet falling amount increases with the slope of the specimen,that is,the surface icing amount decreases as the slope of the specimen increases.The deicing performance of hydrophobic anti-icing coatings is directly evaluated by the index of ice adhesion strength and indirectly reflected by the rate of ice damage.The results show that the hydrophobic anti-icing coating can reduce the normal and tangential ice adhesion strength of the specimen by 51.7% and 57.9%,respectively.It can effectively reduce the ice adhesion strength and has good deicing performance.The ice-road adhesion force is indirectly reflected by the ice breakage on the surface of the specimens after the impact of steel balls,the ice breakage rates of the test and control groups were 76.6% and 15.9%,respectively.Ice layer on the surface of specimens coated with hydrophobic anti-icing coating material is easier to remove.(4)Research on road performance of hydrophobic anti-icing coating.Test the water stability,anti-slip properties and durability of hydrophobic anti-icing coatings,The results show that the water stability of the specimens is improved after the hydrophobic anti-icing coating is applied,and the anti-sliding performance is reduced,but the drop is very low,which meets the requirements of the specification,the water resistance and corrosion resistance are good.After the surface is worn,it still has a certain deicing effect,so its wear resistance is good.
