In the actual schedule planning of large-scale engineering projects,in order to ensure the timely completion of the project,a large amount of safety time will be added into the task assessment,but there will still be the phenomenon of project overdue.In order to improve this phenomenon,this paper proposes the critical chain management method.On the basis of the traditional project schedule management method,the critical chain management method eliminates a large number of task safety time,sets up the buffer,and through the buffer supervision and management to ensure that the project can be completed smoothly on the basis of greatly reducing the task safety time.Through a large number of references and engineering case study,this paper studies the in large engineering project schedule management embodied in the traditional project schedule management methods,so as to put forward the critical chain management method,the basic theory of critical chain management method,hypothesis,generalizes the implementation steps and research,and based on the critical chain management method and the traditional project schedule management method carries on the analysis contrast research,reflected the critical chain management method is applied to the advantages of large engineering project schedule management.From large to practical engineering projects,on the specific project tasks to estimate,estimated by the task time minus the original task time,get the need to eliminate the task of safe time,task time calculation method is more reasonable,safety through time parameter calculation of engineering project tasks,each of task time parameter,the principle of the critical path method to get the longest project chain,identify the project critical chains,the traditional method for calculating the buffer size,With variance method and on the basis of considering the position task weight,risk preference on large project buffer,the influence of the receive buffer size setting of the new method,in order to ensure the safety of the project in eliminating a lot of time can finish on time,on the basis of the established buffer monitoring mechanism,always pay attention to the progress of the project,find problems early,early to solve the problem,thus establishing the critical chain schedule management model.The critical chain schedule management model is applied to a specific instances of large engineering projects,the project construction time limit for a project from the original 601 days to 526 days,shorten the construction period of the 75 days,it is especially important for the project,illustrates the critical chain management method is applied to large engineering project schedule management of the rationality and validity.
